Chimney Bluffs is one of the best spots for a couples session in Western New York. From the cliffs overlooking Lake Ontario, to the always promising sunset — you can't go wrong coming here for your engagement photos or any other photo session. Be warned! The cliffs can be dangerous for little ones, so if you were hoping to do a family photo session, consider sticking to the pebble beach below the cliffs.
With a short hike (now made easier with the newly installed stairs leading down to the beach), you can go from deep in the woods, to the cliffs, to the stone pebble beach down below in a matter of minutes.
TIP: Park down at the end of E Bay Rd instead of the designated parking lot Google maps will send you to. You'll be closer to the beach and the cliffs and you won't have to pay for parking.

The sunset is always amazing here, but don't forget to turn around and look at the cliffs behind you once you get to the bottom.
From June to mid-September the water is warm and so wonderful to step into after a long hike. My advice to you is always dress for the water when coming to a place like this in the summer. Dip your toes in and you won't be disappointed. I promise.
